New Gigabyte G1 Killer Board?

What do you think is it a legit teaser or a fake?

To me if it's legit, then I am really looking forward to seeing these boards especially as it appears to have a VRM block already attached, but if thats the case I just hope it cools better than the one that was on the old Gigabyte EX58 Extreme board, which made no difference.

Yeah, most likely the new Killer Z87 board. Lets hope it's not as overpriced as the last two were :\

Why:banghead: they adding those stupid small fittings, can they just add 1/4" thread, it will be sooo much easier for people that wants to watercool the motherboard...

+1 :cussing:

^ x9,001.

Not only would it be cheaper (having to only fit the block/heatsink with a plug instead of a whole barb), it would be a LOT more practical. It would allow the end user to use whatever size fitting/barb they wanted to, instead of being constrained to one size and having to adjust their loop around that and having the loop restricted.

To me it looks like the fitting might not be attached, But i agree why not give people the option the 1/4 thread would make this an easier sale to people so why not do themselves a favor and make the change if its not.

They really need to step away from those gun/gun clip radiators, it can be killer/assassin without the goofy looking heat sinks.

the last gen (G1 sniper 3) stayed away from the goofy looking heatsinks. Also with MSI also keeping their gamer board aesthetics a lil more subtle I would think companies are realising we don't want gun clip shaped heatsinks. function over form please!

+1, although see below.

Yes indeed. To me it's not just form follows function though. As somebody who actually has
guns I would just feel ridiculous to have my PC pretend to be one, too. Don't pretend to be
something you're not, especially not to appear more badass than you actually are; that's just
pathetic imho.

Of course this happens all the time (North Korea, anyone , although that's not really very
funny all things considered ), but I don't need to have my PC join that cult.

Some more pics have emerged, not showing much, but they're better than nothing.
That sound chip looks smexy as hell though.

I have a feeling decent integrated sound and network cards are the next big thing from motherboard manufacturers. Looks interesting. Although i'm curious about the water cooling, earlier posts from pcjunkie etc. lead me to believe it's not the best solution. I know very little about watercooling having not done it myself can someone elaborate please?
