Is it :S

Oh well Yer I get 2Mb/s on wireless and 10Mb/s on wire

Really? On your LAN? :eh:

I swear everytone should be running at least 100Mb/s now.. Oh wellz.. I was just about to upgrade to 1Gb/s.

File transfer gets me down.

Yea seriously. Most people say you cant fill up a gigabit line and that its not exactly neccesary right now but i call BS. When i head to LANs we all have gigabit switchers and gigabit interfaces with all Cat6 cables. My server gets bogged down by network lag lol. Dual gigabit interface and 100% network usage. File sharing is a pita and this could be an awesome upgrade. Lets hope it dosent cost a whole lot and thecards are on PCI-E.

Just to let you guys know, I doubt you will be running this on cat6 or any other twisted pair cable. If you can you will probably get around 10 feet max lol.

Coax is more of a pain that twisted pair but much less than fiber. It is far superior to twisted pair due to the virtually perfect noise rejection from the foil shield and the more constant impedance.

Yea true, but when i think coax i think of lame TVs that consoles used to plug into with. Ouch. Can you imagine setting up a full rack of servers and a business netowkr with coax? OUUCCCHH.

ermmm........is the network back bone using Fiber? im talking about the one thats under ground running across the whole of UK......

TBH, if theres a Fiber running under the main road just outside where i live, im willing to pay 100quid per month to get connected using it.....

the speed at this moment is just plain stupid, not good enough TBH.....

Whats wrong with coax?

I have never had a problem.. as in when using with TVs.

And if it gets me to 100Gb/s I am happy. :)

I would be happy to but coax is a huge pain dude. Cant coil up like Ethernet cables, is hard and riged, and the end is just BLAH.

They could use something different than the normal 75 ohm coax, there are smaller more manageable standards.
