Guideline (not official) PC requirements for Crysis from one of the developers I believe. Unfortunately no resolution is mentioned and I assume ultra high settings will be DX10/vista

Internet: 256k+

Graphics: Nvidia 7800GT or ATI X1800XL Pro (SM 3.0)

Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)

Optical Drive: DVD

Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista

Ultra High Requirements

CPU: E6600 Core 2 Duo

Graphics: Nvidia 8800GTS

RAM: 2GB

HDD: 6GB

Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)

Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista

It suprises me the number of times game requirements are posted without stating which resolution was used 8) I wonder whether Crysis will be playable at 2580x1600 max settings with current hardware available? Having said that I'm sure I read somewhere there was a demo being shown at that res with max details.

I'm really looking forward to this game; alot of people have brushed it off as an endeavor with so much emphasis on the graphics (which are clearly awesome) that the gameplay will suffer; the videos over at IGN would suggest otherwise...I think Crysis will be a hit.

I think the original plan was a Summer release, which I guess means anytime from now 'til September-ish...although I wouldn't be overly surprised by a delay 'til Christmas time.

Official Crysis release date is Nov 16th.

EDIT: Just to add, I always assumed Crysis was the sequel to Far Cry however Far Cry 2 is on the way as well as Crysis (and I assume using the Crysis engine).

Ubisoft and Crytek made Far Cry.

They split

Crytek are making Crysis

Ubisoft are making Far Cry 2

They are NOT the same (Ubisoft is being very careful to make it's game different from Crysis)
