First the setup:
Asrock z77 pro3 motherboard
I5 3570k cpu 3,8 with a small undervoltage (-0.125v)
Stock intel cpu fan
Corsair vengeance 1866mhz 8 gb

Im looking for a new cpu cooler, and my goal is to get a better cooler without spending mutch, because im upgrading to liquid cooling within 2k14
Im thinking in the lines of the Cooler Master hyper 212, but are there better coolers at same pricerange, or equivalent coolers a bit cheaper?
If possible i would like it to be a bit less loud then my stock cooler

Thanks in advance
Benji

The Hyper 212 Evo is one of the best coolers in the price range. It will definitely serve you fine until you upgrade to watercooling and you can try a bit of overclocking with it.

would it benefit if i buy an extra cooler so it would be push pull, or is the difference even noticeable?

It would be around a 2-3 degrees difference. The heatsink is pretty thin so it's up to you if you think that it's worth it to buy a second fan.

I used the Cooler Master Hyper 212+ for a long time, and it worked very well, keeping a 4.5GHz overclock on an i5 2500k at reasonable temps for over a year. The Evo is very similar and I've heard people recommend it for a long time, so I doubt you would go wrong with it.

Push/pull will barely make a difference, but if you did then you would probably get fans designed for static pressure, which wouldn't be the best to use as case fans, but this is only a minor point.

Welcome to OC3D by the way, and lastly, instead of double posting, people would prefer it if you used the edit button at the bottom of your last post :)

I am not sure i follow, where did i double post so i can make sure it wont happen again?

I don't see it now, unless it's been edited; it's not too much of a big deal anyway, it just keeps things neater. If I just misread it, my mistake I'm sorry.

I have merged your two posts, but Remmy is right. Please use the edit button instead of posting twice (or more) in a row :)

We sell the 212 at my store, I've had it out and had a good look at it, It's a solid cooler, pretty hefty too for the price! We sell the 412 slim too which is quite decent too despite the low profile, specs on it looks good too. Like Tom said, if you have the money for a decent fan, you can use those afterwards too when you've upgraded :-)
