New card

Hello,

I'm thinking of buying the Radeon HD 6850
Here are my spec.:Intel cor i7 processor 2600
12gb DDR3 Memory
2TB Hard drive
AMD Readeon HD 6450 2GB

My question is the card compatible since its DDR5 and my actual card is DDR3 and will everything fit in the card slots.
Keep in mind it is a prebuild store bought. Do you think it will fit in the case ? Im aware that I have to buy a psu of 500watt.

The 6850 will be fine on 500 watt and its fully compatible with any 1155 motherboard.

What is the budget for the card?

Ive had some people suggest the 7870 but will it be compatible and fit in my case and such?

If you can suggest me one (around 200 euros or less preferably) i would be gratefull

where did you buy it from? what brand of power supply is it? if its a bad power supply then it might not supply 500 watts and it may not power the card

corsair CX600 is the brand and to andrew: its a packard bell case that i bought recently in a Belgian store

I would really like the 7870 but its a bit pricy. does anyone kwnow where you can buy it cheap?

Ok that psu wont cause any issues.

Have you got the model number or can you measure the maximum length?

Its an Packard Bell Ixtreme I9600 BE if thats what your asking
and its about 40~ centimeters

Well yeah but your question was if a 7870 would be compatible with your motherboard and I told you the fact that yes it would be, if you can't afford the 7870 go for the 7850
