Hello all!!!

I am about to build my first gaming pc within this month so i may need some information plus your experience to make it as much as better it can be.

I am going to use the Coolermaster Storm Stryker White as Case.
CPU the new i7 4790k so i need an appropriate mobo to match it. I was thinking for the MSI Z97 Gaming 9 AC, but i also like the ASUS VII Formula.. Hmm? Any idea on this?
Power supply... Thought for Coolermaster v1000. Any ideas also??
I have no idea for RAM... I would like something in red :p
CPU cooler Corsair H100i or H105 or H110 or Anything else??
SSD Samsung 840 Pro 256 gb
HDD my previous one Western Digital Caviar Green 500gb
GPU MSI 780 Lighting, also any idea here??

PS. I am going to keep that one for about 5+ years so i would like to take good items...

Feel free to post anything you want :D

you dont need a 1000w psu a 600w-700w would be ample, 2x4gb corsair vengeance pro red, and if your set with the msi gtx 780 get the msi gaming motherboard

nice but drop the i7 for an i5, it performs the same in gaming.

*edit* and again i will say you dont need a 1000w power supply

@barnsley I dont have a specific budget, I just have some parts in consider and want to decide which else i am going to buy !

@Tripp I want the new i7 because of the heavy programs i am going to run in university.
Also i am going to use a 1000w PSU because i may take another GPU in future + custom hydro cooling.

Also i was thinking something about 16gb and not 8bg. So the corsair Vengeance pro red comes out in a dual channel 2x8 gb?

@Gambla I wouldnt go for a corsair PSU...I trust more the Coolermaster in this section, the same for the g.skill...
Also i dont need any optical drive i will keep my previous one ! :D

So guys you didnt answer to my confusion.. as mobo msi or asus?
Lighting 780 or any other in the same range of money?

As of storage space, considering you're getting a 256gb SSD, I'd recommend getting extra HDD storage too. I only have 2.3TB in my desktop and all of it is used by stuff I don't particularly want to lose ;)

If you're going to university running heavy programs you're probably going to deal with bigger files too (video renders etc?)

Well i am in the department of informatics of the Athens university of economics and business so we are going to create heavy programs as far as i know. So everything that can be put in sites/programs not only videos.
