Hi

I am building a new pc for the first time and these are the components I have chose

Intel core i7 3770k
Asus maximus v formula
I have not decided on ram yet I want an 8gb module for maximum upgradability^_^ any ideas?
Corsair tx850 modular psu
Corsair Obsidian 650d
I won't be getting a gpu yet until I have more money
I am using some old hard drives I have

What are your thoughts?

This is for gaming and general use

If it is just for gaming then drop the 3770k down to a 3570k, Drop the V and replace it with an MSI Z77A G45 and then you will have saved around £250, enough for a HD 7950

Exactly ^^^^ - and get an 8gb kit, not ther 1, 8gb module.

Same as above and get a lower wattage psu, 650w is plenty for one gpu, try to squeeze in a SSD would make a huge difference imo
