Swiss cooler manufacturer ARCTIC COOLING launches new series of Graphic card coolers named Accelero (X1 for NVDIA 6800/ 7800 Series and X2 for ATI X1800/ X1900 Series). Vibrations caused by the rotating fan are absorbed by a patented vibration muffler. Complex airflow simulations were conducted during development of the fan, the results were incredible cooling performance at extremely low noise levels as a result of to 6 heatpipes. ARCTIC COOLING offers for this series a 6 year limited warranty. Both models will be available by end of February 2006. The MSRP is each only USD 33.

Wonder how they are compared to the big arctic coolers?

They look a little stock-ish looking to me.... I'll see what some reviews are like first :)

The thing with that design (and I maybe mistaken) is the hot air is not exhausted from the system in the same way the previous version does (which has now been released in rev6). To that end it alll adds up to more heat than you need circulating the case.

Review here guys - cooling seems good (better than stock) more importantly and true to the previous series a LOT quieter.

I had no idea that ATI 90nm cores ran that hot - much much hotter than the 7800GTX unfortunately.

I hope the Nvidia G71 (now also in 90nm) will be cooler than the current GTX.

A lot of people are referring to the Nvidia ATI war thats going on right now to Intel and AMD - that's certainly true for how hot a card runs, in this round Nvidia had the edge.

That's a lot bigger than i thought it was from the inital pics.

There are good parallels with the CPU war, high frequencies and hence higher heat on once side, and lower frequencies but more work per cycle on the other.

Cooler looks good, shame to lose the exhaust aspect though IMO.

Yup :) there biatches to keep cool, although there stock tests are rather odd. My temps arent that high :S

They will be dumping a lot of heat into the system. I cant see them working too well on a crossfire setup. One card will just be heating the back of the other
