New Apple stuff out.

Maybe it's just me, but 8GB iPhone at $600 < 80GB iPod at $400.

I mean, it's a phone... great, but a similar (cheaper) iPod with 80GB would be better.

Just need to wait for the new iPod, also I'm not sure it's 80GB, could be more.

But the 80gb ipod can't call people and doesn't have Mac OSX :yumyum:

Call me critical, but that thing looks huuuuuge, almost Blackberry sized. Either that or it's a Hobbit that's holding it.

I can't see many peeps carrying that around. Instead of calling it the iPhone they should have called it the immobile:p

It looks nice tho (from the interface point of view).

I think I might have to get one of those :)

Probably will be a while until they are affordable tho :( and also I only just got a phone for christmas.

But iTunes on it looks amazing

You totally misunderstood me.

I'm saying most likely the new iPod will also be the same just without the phone thing.

Not sure if anyone has seen the hi-res pictures of the iPhone etc

Also some interesting stuff about leopard having some OpenGL improvements. Altho there is a note that the Mac Pro's already have some multithread OpenGL improvements with 10.4.8 :)

Leopard also provides a dramatic increase in OpenGL performance by offloading CPU-based processing onto another thread which can then run on a separate CPU core feeding the GPU. This can increase, or in some cases, even double the performance of OpenGL-based applications.

They are just trying to make a better LifeDrive.

If I know Apple (I do), it's only the first step.

It's a standard to release "one of a kind" product, sell it and then integrate it's features with all the products.

I think the iPhone is just a way for Apple to test the functions they want to put in their iPod live.

Seen the guy talking on TV about this morning. CES is obviously filling the news of the day with plenty of padding. Without a doubt it can do more than he expressed at the time, but my old phone and the one previous to it can do all the things he spoke about already.

Windo$e mobile 2k3, movies, music, phonecalls.. only a 320x200 *I think* screen tho.

Shame the operators are crap.
