Needing a little help.

Hi guys,

Well after watching a ton of videos by oc3d. I have decided to get a new gaming system.

I have selected the maximus IV extream and the intel 2600K

But I have read that the Maximus IV extream is about 1" wider than standerd ATX MB's

So I am wondering does anybody know if one of these boards will fit into my CM storm Scout case.

Yeah mate I would of thought you'd be ok, you can fit X58 motherboards in that case.

i would get a new case tbh, if you are getting some nice hardware something like a 690 ii advanced would be better imo, but thats just me

I'm very biased. HAF-X , Hope you have somewhere to put it. Love my case. All these cases mentioned are well made.

The Scout will work fine and its a Great case has decent airflow and nice features. I have the Sniper and I had considered the Scout as well Only went Sniper cause it was on sale at the time.

i would love to get the corsair 800d. but thats the same cost as an extra 6950

The HAF X does look good, but I have seen anougher case I like the look of as well.

Its called the NZXT Phantom. an aquired taste I imagine but looks good quality, and takes all manner of boards.

will look into the HAF X i prefer the looks of the scout. But needs must I suppose.

Wish I kept my thermaltake Kandalf case i had a few years back, only problem with that case was the fact that the inside was still the galavnised steel, instead of a nice black anodised number.

Don't forget the HAF 932 Advance as well, better looking than the HAF X imho.

Based on pics I'd say if it did fit it would be one hell of a tight fit, had no hands on experience with the case but I don't think the maximus iv will fit.
