Need the best solution for a head feed on the MOBO

I'm in a pickle about the Head feed and how I'm going to mod a head to fit on the motherboard. Are those capacitors going to be a problem being so close to the mounting holes?

Thats a LGA 775 board - the mach kit to suit is shaped to fit most - any other ones are easily solved by sanding (or use dremmel) the interferring plastin off the cpu kit till you get clearance.

There is nothing in that piccie that seems suspect to me so you should be able to no probs mate.

Mav the distance is about 88mm across to 76mm down for the mounting holes a non standard LGA775. So let me clear things up in my head the head will have a copper base nothing strange there but I would need a case to cover the 88x76 square surface correct? Would I be drilling a template of the capacitors and resistors on the case so it fits flush? Could someone show me a picture of a standard LGA775 head so can picture what it would look like?

I thought about using neroprene simular to a chilly 1 head but more rectangle than round.

Which MOBO is that - perhaps one of the other guys on the forum can help from their own experience?Mav

It's a Shuttle SB95PV2 intel which is very small I also need another question answered. If I plan on modding the cold feed to be the same height as the compressor what happens to the liquid flow and gas flow to the head. I'm asking because I cannot have a top mounted feed from the case.

Provided the head is not facing upwards (i.e. as it would be on a GPU) then it shouldn't affect the prommy.

That sounds assuring Gollum, so what your saying is that as long as the liquid flows constant to the head otherwise you get gas flowing to the head instead?

I plan on using a modeded case a old G5 apple case dimensions of 190mm X 460mm base. What are typical mini condenser sizes?+ Fan sizes 2x120mm or one 200mm fan?

You want the dimensions of the condenser in the mach 2 or of a smaller condenser and you're going to build your own phase unit?

Lol More like modfy one I think it would take me a year just to learn the full dynamics of evapourating. A standard unit will not sufice moding is where it's got to go. So in part yes I'm proberly going to buy a standard unit, but mod it to suit my needs as your aware of a few issues trying to phase cool a shoe box! It hasn't been done yet, and the more I'm learning the more I know the reason why. But if you have dimensions that would be great Gollum?

Do I need one?

I have a friend who is. Technical side he is my dude. The logistics is mine.

He is more practicle than I, The width of the old G5 case is 190mm exactly thats good to here. Standard ones what do they come out of I thought most people use car condesers?

So long as your friend has HVAC you should be fine. I'm pretty sure the whole Mach unit is about 190mm wide and no one component is that full width although I'd say the compressor is the widest thing. I think you should fit it in fine widthwise. Hope you've got space for components in there too though.

Just looked it up and its 7.5" or 19.05cm wide. I'm sure the compressor and the rest of the insides are half a mm thinner though.

The G5 apple case is 460mm long and tall, so should be able to handle compressor & Condenser as well. That 7.5" (190mm) is that the pipes to pipes on the side or just one end of the rad to rad?

Sorry Gollum asking way too many question in your corner mate!

Whilst I'm here do they give you a 1Ph or 1/8Ph.?

Yeah it looks like it would be just few mm smaller than the case itself.

Thanks for the link mate I'll keep in touch on the project it should start somepoint next week I hope once all parts have been ordered.

I might pop in now and then to ask a few tricky questions to you mate?

Cheers for the info.!

Yeah do keep me (and all of us) updated and good luck. Tricky questions are no problem.
