Need some suggestions!

The V8 isn't bad and it was one of the interesting coolers when it first came out. The fan is a bit loud, but not as bad as some others. If you're set on the V8, you should probably go for a silent fan and also one that has higher pressure. It has no problem cooling an i7 920 OC-ed so it has no problem cooling the 2500K @3.8GHz at all.

I'd still go with the CM Hyper 212 Plus, Dark Rock Pro or Advanced for the silence though as I don't really need to have LEDs lit up.

If I can't find a nice blue led fan for the heatsink I'll probably get a silentwings fan and have a hybrid v8 dark rock advanced

If the prices are similar between the V8 and the 120mm Dark Rock Advanced, then I would most likely choose the Advanced. You won't have to spend extra just to replace the fan.

I probably will go with the advanced, though I'm trying to find a decent blue led fan to give it (and the rest of the interior) a lovely blue glow

ATM I'm looking at the aerocool shark 120mm because the led is visible at all angles rather than just when staring directly at it. But I don't know what attributes I'm looking for other than decibels and cfm...I think lol

Any suggestions? You guys seem to have an endless supply of them

Yup, if you're not going to be OC-ing much, the Dark Rock Advanced will be fine. It's good to have a balance of both silence and performance for a fan.
