please help thanks

Looks like you are not the only one with this prob on gigabyte boards, I did a Google search "p67a ud4 1 long beep and 2 short" and there are a few poeple saying the same, here is one from the official Gigabyte forum http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php?action=printpage;topic=4572.0

The beep code means

"The BIOS is unable to access the video system in order to write any error messages to the screen".

According to http://www.pcguide.com/ts/x/sys/beep/awardB12-c.html

EDIT: Forgot to say try clearing the CMOS, take the CMOS battery and all power cables for 10 minuets and if you haven't done so already update your BIOS.

I know that was just one I picked at random from the Google results, none that i have read through actually give a reason to what is causing it, if I find one I will post it. Also links fixed.

yep tried that took the battery out all the power cables for a good 20mis and still nothing boots on the 8x and not the 16x slot still
