Need some advice please peeps!!!

Gonna be building a new system pretty soon (build log will be posted on here) just wondering what would be better for gaming and a bit of video editing and 3d rendering, an i5 2500 and gtx 560 or an i7 2600 and gtx 460

It depends on how much video editing and 3D rendering you do, a 2600k would be better if you do it regular but if it's just a bit here and a bit there then the 2500k will be ok. I'm not sure if the GPU plays a part in 3D rendering but obviously the 560 is the better card and would be the better choice if you are gaming.

TBH the i5-2500 is only slightly behind the i7-2600 and should be able to cope with ocasional editing/3d, but if that is going to be your main focus get the i7-2600.

If your main focus is gaming and you lightly do video editing and 3d rendering - I would go for the i5-2500 + GTX 560.

If you enjoy gaming but want to focus more on video editing and 3d rendering - I would go for the i7-2600 + GTX 460.
