Need new Headset D:

well my earforce X11's have decided to go silent in one ear :( and that was after a diy repair to fix the bit that snapped off so it's a loose connection so it's kinda screwed :(.

i dont wanna get a headset that's super expensive (30-40 quid on the used market at max) and i guess i want one that's well made and wont snap so easily :D also anything that'd go nice with my xonar DS 7.1

again i just want super good audio quality plus i want to get into a little music making (like lapfox and such) so anything that'd be good i guess.

i might just get another earforce x11 since i lovethe headset, or maybe i could repair it??.

Considering you had Turtlebeaches, did you use them with a console as well or just PC gaming? Also, do you need the microphone or do you just use them for listening purposes?

For the price, you could also pick up an Audio Technica ATH-M20x and a seperate desktop mic. Any headset up to 50 quid won't really come close audio quality wise. If you don't need a mic at all I'd recommend going a fiver over budget and pick up ATH-M30x headphones. They're on Amazon for £45.

The only actual headset that I can recommend for your budget are the Bitfenix Flo's, with detachable cables in case they break, and a detachable mic if you want to use them as normal headphones in public, for instance with your phone/iPod.

Another good pair of headphones without mic are the Superlux 668B for about 30 bucks new

Just PC Gaming :] I use the TV speakers for the Console, and yeah i need the microphone since i like to talk with friends over skype and such and it's just more convinent to have a headset rather than a seperate microphone? (I had a logitech singstar microphone as a seperate microphone for a bit and it was a little inconvinent having to pick it up to speak into it)

I could raise my budget a little if the product is that exceedingly good (Did so for the PSU and the 4820K)

You could go ghetto like me and tape a cheap Zalman ZM1 mic to some old lamp or something similar :p

sorry to sidetrack the thread, but this still cracks me up!

And it actually sounds really good as well, i can hear everything he says fine!

Plantronics Gamecom 780/788. Best headset I've ever owned. Worth the price, although it has gone up to £40ish. It has better sound then most £70 headsets..

Oh wow the Plantronics one's look freaking great Owo even has 7.1 surround so it'd maybe like my Xonar DS card, and it's not like 200 quid.

Though i do like the other options mentioned on the thread :3 so i may in time get just headphones for my laptop/iphone too so....keep em coming?
