Ok just got a x-fi gamer and hooked it up to my medusa's.... and i have no bass! I dont get bass period, not through the headset or my speakers :( ive googled this and it seems to be a common problem with medusa's on the x-fi's. Does anyone know of a fix? ive tried changing all the settings and have had no luck :( can anyone shed some light please, thanks.

I don't have Medusa's so this is a stab in the dark...

In the Creative Console Launcher once you have selected '5.1' in the 'Speakers' tab, an option called 'enable bass redirection' appears in the 'Bass' tab. Does selecting this option and moving the 'crossover frequency' slider gradually from one extreme to the other have any effect? Apologies if you've already tried this. :)

I tired that before but now i have it working!!! Not really sure how, i just ran the creative speaker connection wizzard, with all hardware on this time, then went into the THX control pannel and put my speakers all to small and it worked! It now seems fine and the quality is better than my old Audigy 2 :D

ROFL. Dontcha just love problems that seem to miraculously fix themselves? When that happens to me I'm scared to touch anything in case I break it again.
