yer dude it has been happening alot it was relesed OPEN on friday and ironicly it was quite flawless (connecting) considering.
when you click launch it should say the status of thr servers
Honestly there is just so much wrong with it that it's inexcusable. This isn't a beta it's a bloody alpha. I mean god, check this out and these were just the things I noticed trying to get it working !
Firstly on their website it says "We are experiencing unexpectedly high traffic on our servers". Firstly it's EA. So bloody traffic on servers should not be a problem in any way, shape or form.
Secondly, if there really is a problem
pull the bloody download until it's fixed and save people like me from wasting 800mb of bandwidth.
So OK, onto the next part. You get it downloaded and you load it. "click update to update". OK, so I do. However, once they are installed? doesn't matter. It makes you press update every time you load it, wait for a minute or so and then says "no updates are available". FFS, can't they just code in a checker? why must you connect to a server every god damn time? Again, this isn't some little ant company this is bloody EA. A multi billion pound company.
So OK, after ages of buggering around you get in, GREAT !. Try to change the resolution - CRASH. Try again - CRASH. ETC, ETC.
Then you relegate your massively powerful gaming PC to playing it at 1024x768 which makes it look cack as it's a non native LCD resolution. But by now I was so annoyed I just wanted to see the game. Go to connect? crash. No reason, no rhyme just an error message saying "failed to connect to server". Why can't it do this in game? instead of making you repeat all the steps above before crashing again?
Like Stepster I have deleted it and like NFS Sh*t it's not going anywhere near my bloody computer. £30 for NFS Sh*t and it never EVER worked on my rig.
