First let me tell you what I'm looking for, I need: some small and very portable aka thin and light weight. I was thinking between 11.6"-13.3" screens and around 3 pounds, max 4 pounds. Also the second most important thing is battery life, it's gotta last, the longer the better. Next requirement is it's gotta be cheap

lol I don't have a lot to spend on this (preferably under $500 but max $600, if I did it would be a lot easier. (btw i'm in canada, i'll link some stores at the bottom if you want to have a look at prices)

So I've been looking online for a little bit and let me tell you what I found: first I found the thinkpad x120e, next I saw the msi x370-205us, then i saw the Sony Y series, then i saw the HP dm1.

The msi is the most expensive, but I think it's got the best battery life, fastest apu and 13" screen, the others are 11.6", the HP dm1 is the cheapest but the thing is it's HP and I had bad experiences with HP.

So basically I'm confused. Help me out, I am willing to any other suggestions, or at least which of these u would spend ur money on.

And if there is only 2gb ram, add $25-30 to the price because I would open it up and add the 4gb that I want

Oh yea almost forgot what I need to be able to do on it

My dad got a Toshiba laptop on sale for $400 at thesource.ca I'll try to find the exact model for you.

IMO, never, ever buy a laptop from HP.

Edit: I know it has 4GB of RAM and a 500GB HDD, but it's bigger than you'd like; it's a 15.6" laptop

thanks for the reply, i am gonna get something 2moro, and actually the budget increased a little, 700-800, and there is an asus u36sd-a1 thats on sale and i think its a good deal, its got an 13" screen an i5 2410m (which i found out is a dual-core 2.3GHz WITH HyperThreading) and a nvidia 520m and really good battery life

what do you think about that??

thanks, i got it, this u36sd-a1 look really nice, i'll have to play around with it and set everything to the way i like it (and removed a lot of bloatware)

if i have time next weekend i'll post a little mini review of some sort to give you guys my opinion
