Need a new monitor?

Hi guys.

Ive had my good old Samsung T240 for almost 3 years now and am in the process of getting a new top of the line gameing rig and was just wondering if i shold consider upgradeing it to a better 1. Is it still good enough for modern GPU's (soon to be GTX 580) or will i notice a considerable improvement with a newer one? If i should get a new one are there any really good 24" 1920x1200 out there worth getting? 1920x1080 is ok aswell but i would prefer 1920x1200 since thats what ive been useing for a long time.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I would say Samsung P2770 or LG E2770V.

That LG is IPS and looks damn promosing but it will also cost at least $100 more than the Samsung.

1920*1200 isnt really suitable for gaming anymore because of wrong ratio so go 1080p.

1080p on 27 inch is still pretty high resolution and you will get a much larger screen. IMO the size is far more important than the amount of pixels cause you dont really notice it anyway.

But if you dont want any larger pixels than you allready got you should look at Apple Cinema Display or Dell U2711H which has 2560*1440 resolution.
