ebay ftw, just makes sure you get one with individual cartidges. Paid less than 60 posted for my one. Can get 3 full sets of ink for £25 too.

just for the odd print job and so the whole family can use it without coming to bother me

That's the printer I have, it's really good. Very easy to setup the wireless, just choose a main computer first. Then to install it on all the other computers on a network just download the drivers and it will sort itself out.

Amazon do ink cartridges for 30 quid for a set, although the really expensive bigger cartridges do save you money.
