NEC NDA 3520 A Not compatibel ?!

Hey there i bought DVD+RW froM Sony (4x) which is on the compatibility list froM my DVD Burner. Ok what i get when i put he DVD+RW in the drive is nothing but a not able to read. Additionally my DVD Drive turns into a CD RW when i have the DVD in....

I updated the Firmware to the newest but its still not working

That's a bit strange mate. I would probably try RMA'ing it if I were you. But then I don't know much about DVD burners.

yeah the best thing would be to get a replacement and see if that fixes it good luck anyway

all dvd burner see blank dvd's as cd's. this si completely normal.

that dvd burner is the same one i have and it rocks.

tell us what you are trying to burn and using what. windows xp burning engine doesnt do dvd's.

Ehhh... Mine see's blank DVD's as blank DVD's... What kinda homoerotic DVD burner do u have? lollers

ok now it is working. After i installed NERO it was able to burn on the DVD+RW. Thanks for your ideas (Which i unfortunately wasnt able to read because my Laptop didnt want to get into the internet )

if i am completely honest mine does aswell, which sparks something in my head that SP2 fixes something. dont hold me to that though.

no it doesnt i have SP2 and my DVD Drive changes to a CD drive still.
