Just did this as a quickie in paint.net, anyone guess what game it's from?

Pretty old- bout 1999 iirc. It was [probably] the first fully 3D game of it's genre. I still play it occasionally but the modding community has moved on and it's sequel still has mods which have plenty of players and are updated regularly. Anyone else got any ideas? I'll post another clue soon if it's needed
