My Rig Is Not Quiet Enough

Maybe I am being ridiculous but the amount of noise it makes is annoying when trying to sleep. If you dont have headphones on it is 'noticable'.

Id like to reduce it a bit if possible. I have no idea how or if its a good idea. My temps seem fine though.

The only way I can explain the amount of noise it is making at the moment is;

iPhone Sound Detector Pro App - An iPhones distance away from front of case
- Computer ON - Soundlevel 48ish
- Computer OFF - Soundlevel 33ish

Haf X
- h100 in push/pull on roof.
- 1 rear fan, 1 side fan 1 front fan
- GTX 670, i5 3570k, Maximus V Forumula

What exactly is making all the noise? The H100 fans or the case fans? I'm assuming it's the h100 fans as they spin above 2500rpm. Either get the fan speed reducer James linked or go buy quieter fans.

Keep in mind the h100 fans are made for performance and therefor loudness: so while the 7v cable may help the fans may still be loud at night.

Unless you have a fanless power supply, don't discount that. My TX650V2 was responsible for the 50dB noise level of my system.

Not the best case.

remove the side fan. make sure your H100 fans are set up to be quiet (not on the mobo thats for n000bs)

You didnt mention an overclock, dont forget AUTO cpu vcore is also for n00000bs. Youre an oc3d member get it sorted.

I think the sound is coming from the fans in push/pull. Somewhere in that area.
Il give you some better specs.

Asus MAXIMUS V FORMULA, Intel Z77
Coolermaster HAF X V2, Black, Full
750W Corsair Enthusiast Series TX75
Intel Core i5 3570K,1155, Ivy Bridge (Overlocked to 4.2ghz)
8GB (2x4GB ) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance
2GB EVGA GTX 670, 28nm, PCIe 3.0 (x
200mm Coolermaster MegaFlow, 700rpm
120mm Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1850 RP
Corsair H100 Hydro Series Extreme

128GB Samsung 830 Series, SSD Basic
1TB Seagate ST1000DM003 Barracuda 7
500GB Seagate Barracuda

The Typhoons replaced the h100 fans. The Coolmaster Megaflow is on the side of the case, the fan that came on the side of the case was moved to the front of the case.

Edit: Ive also just noticed the front fan in the roof isnt even on. Strange. Time to get to work on it!

If you are running those GT1850's at full speed, they will be noisy. (They are quiet compared to other fans at the same speed but still quite loud) I find that mine become inaudible below 1000rpm. 7V will give you 1100rpm, which is quiet but still slightly audible. 5V will be around 800rpm and definitely silent. (but you don't get much airflow)
