my old speakers went pop, recommendations?

Ive been using a logitech 5:1 system for a while with a sound blaster z card and has been quite good, but i decided to go back to my old stereo system hooked up to my pc as tbh they were way better speakers, but its dead as a dodo (the motherboard inside has burnt out) so guys im after an new system, i like the look of the creative katana but not at that price!!! am open to a good set of studio speakers or similar looking to spend around £150, cheers guys.

I would strongly recommend M-Audio Studiophile AV40. They are the older model. AV42 that replaced them is not that loved as the good old AV40. They are one of the best budget studio monitors. You can still find them in music shops.

I've got the Swan M-10 speaker system that has a desktop style subwoofer. It's not the deepest bass sounding speakers ever, but that's not what I was wanting anyway. These are good mid-high levels that leave a more balanced sound to me.
