My new keyboard

I just got this keyboard 50% off at my work (so $40) and I am replacing my Logitech G15 (may it rest in peace). I have been looking for a chicklet flat style board for some time now with the right feel for my gaming as well as typing with great looks. And after literally YEARS of searching THIS IS THE ONE! The resistance on each key is PERFECT, the feel of the keys is also very nice and the illuminations is absolutely jaw dropping and stunning, providing a very even light under all the keys. The board is nice and flat and has a glass look to the edges and it really looks the part.

The one thing I will miss about my G15 is the screen, BUT I have a G13 so not to big of a loss.

Logitech FTW!!!

'Powerful,' keyboard?! And not buying a mechincal.... ISHYGDDT

Mechanical keyboards are a gimmick. Unless you plan on playing a game that required you to press more than 5 buttons at ONE time or you are typing 10,000wpm and doing hundreds of thousands of Actions per minute there is NO difference other than feel between a mechanical and a standard.

$80 !

No, I just mean screen.. cable.. that's it.

... and hopefully not $70.

Logitech ftw, but their prices are Apple-esq.

WTF mechanical keyboards a gimmick? They are superior in build quality and feel.

I would rather use the on-screen keyboard than type with rubber dome or scissor switches again!

Also pressing multiple keys is to do with n-key rollover not mechanical keyboards.

Either I have had one to many beers or you did, because I am not understanding you.

He means why don't Logitech sell a screen on it's own..

I wouldn't say mechanical keyboards are a gimmick but they are not worth the money they charge for them. At the end of the day it's a keyboard, a £10 one will do exactly the same as a £100 one.

I have had three different mechanical keyboards, sold them and gone back to using a HP keyboard I got from Cashconverters for £2.50 and not noticed the difference. Yeah, mechanical ones are more solid and are made with more expensive plastics or whatever but performance wise, if there is such a thing with a keyboard, there is no difference.

The build quality is hit and miss just like any other keyboard. Mechanical keyboards have been around a VERY long time and I have seen some cheap crappy ones. Also I hate the feel of them and the sound they make. They sound like typewriters.

That logitech keyboard looks really sexy, i like it

Never seen or heard of the G13 before, looks interesting

I agree with Dipzy about the g13, never seen it. Although i have a G15 i love it. Nice looking keyboard you are switching to

looks nice, but i'm not a big fan of logitech buttons anymore, i had a mx3200 wireless combo and the buttons were, put bluntly, friggin awful.

i have a roccat isku now and i can feel the difference, its so much better, cleaner button presses and buttons that don't stick down like on the logitech (the " / " in particular ALWAYS stuck when used)

You can't base one experience with Logitech and assume they are all like that. Almost all the keyboards have different feels, I have never had a stuck key either. The g13, 15, 19, 510, all have different feels.
