My Mach 2 GT Test Results

OK its been a couple of hours till i installed my unit...decided to take some temp readings with both load and idle conditions.

AS ceramique was used in a very small quantity on top of the CPU core.

The room temps were @ 24.2C for the tests @ stock speed and 22C for all other tests.

Prime 95 has been used while small ffts have been selected.

For the idle temps, the readings were taken after the unit has done the prime tests and the unit was left for about 5 minutes (it was less tbh) for the temps to drop while surfing the net :D

The cpu is an Intel P4 3.0C SL6WU L401

Motherboard is the ASUS P4C800E Deluxe with both the droop and Vdimm mod.

Fans set to FULL speed, i think the back plate is busted cos two of the screws wouldnt go hard while tightening so i should be loosing some contact pressure from these two screws...they are the top left and bottom left ones. One extra washer was used before the spring on the evap head screws.

The Vcore fluctuates a bit from load and idle as it can be seen, not as badly as before the Droop mod was performed though.I have used random fsbs by upping the Vcore too to increase the chips heat output, so it doesnt represent the overclockability of the chip at the given fsb.

Since the P4C800E cannot monitor temps under the -40C range the MBM sensor reports -112C...

The Control center had probs displaying the load graph on some tests which was cured later...

Seems that my cpu maxxed at arround 4245mhz with 1.8Vcore...gotta see now what my 2.8M0 can do that did 4328mhz with my Mach 2 and no droop mod ;)

INTEL P4 2.8MO @ 4.500ish me thinks :) [/color']

i wish mate....

i had to really push the Vcore to get nearly 4.4ghz...yet some others push 2V through their chips....i dont wanna go that far...even 1.95V just to get a 4.4ghz screen wont mean much for me :p

i am trying hard to get my hands on a 3.2 D0 prescott and now that i found someone who had some...hes left only with one which is reserved...

i need 4.5ghz 24/7 :D

May i ask what software u used to read ur temps... cos i think there flawed...

-112C idle..? i doubt it...

motherboard have problems reading temps over -35C which mean it will display -112C
