hey man! setup looks nice! but how do you find the 3 monitors? the gaming aspect never really appealed to me massively tbh--not a fan the of bezels and the short height vs very wide width--it definitely an interesting idea though. How do you find the 3 monitors for productivity though? do you find yourself using all three a lot? how is it to scan back and forth viewing things across all three?

personally I've always been a fan of higher res monitors and fewer of them (2 for example) vs 1080p monitors and 3 or more. I sometimes run my apple cinema display and my samsung 27inch together, which is very nice, however there is a lot of head movement required to view things across both of those, i can only imagine how much more there would be across 3. anyways ive always found the experience to be much better on a high res monitor like the cinema display /dell equivalent vs anything ive seen at 1080p, once youve gotten used to the high res it just seems like youre missing so much with 1080 p you know? i know the total resolution for 3 is very high but just like i mentioned the short height+bezels+wide vertical space required and the large amount of head movement to view things on all 3 never really appealed to me personally.

i know that may have all came out quite negatively -- please note im not trying to be negative, rather just wanted to get your thoughts as someone who has actually used 3 monitors, as i have not used 3 on a daily basis--all of this is just going by my experience with 2 27" monitors

I actually don't find it at all how you've said.
I don't really do work that requires the use of 3 screens, so I can only really speak for general use... It is just easier, I find to have iTunes open on one screen, facebook on another, and for example the forums here on another. I don't see it much as moving my head too much, because I'm pretty much just using 2 screens, and changing the song every 3/4 minutes which doesn't really require much effort other than a glance to the side.

As for gaming, I thought before I had them that the bezels would be annoying but in reality, that's so untrue. You find yourself focusing on just the centre screen. Infact, I rarely actually look at the side two at all. But, it just adds to the feeling of being more 'in' the game if you get me. You don't notice the bezels at all, because you don't actually look at all the screens. It merely adds to the experience of it all.

I also don't really find it requires much head movement at all - probably due to my location to the left of the desk - maybe if I was right in the centre it would be a different story, but it really does work incredibly well.

I do try to use all three as much as I can...
But at the time of writing this, with chrome being the only program I have open it's pretty hard to use more than one

I suppose it's hard to explain, and different people will find things very different. But I myself do really like this setup. I know it's probably difficult for others to comprehend without trying it themselves - especially in gaming, but it does work very well indeed - and it does definitely make the whole gaming / user experience more friendly.

hahaha, I have an iPod and iPad - I just find it easier to use that to sync everything.

It runs perfectly from SSD for me anyway - I've never had any problems with it, and I find it incredibly easy to keep all my music organised...

It's there to stay...

...until it annoys me somehow

Well tbh I hardly ever use itunes so I can't really judge :L Back op topic, I tried triple screens when I got my LG 22" 1080P monitor, I had it with 2 1366x768 monitors and I really didnt like it, I found it just not very useful, How ever one of my mates recently got proper triple screens (3 22" 1080p monitors) I had a go using them and wow all I can say is that triple screens are epic, safe to say I know what I will be buying next time I have a spare £250

I understand what you are saying, that being said, I do think many people who maybe enjoy a 3X 1080p screen setup right now would really enjoy a larger resolution on a single screen, or even dual high res screens. For example you mention having a window open on one scree and another etc--with a higher resolution screen you can easily have 2 or more windows open on each screen. Another thing is the pixels just look much better imo when they are more dense--the same thing applies on smart phone screens for example higher res=sharper text etc. As for gaming-- like I said I personally have not tried gaming on 3 screens for any extended people of time, so I cant make an informed comment on that, but what I can say is that gaming on a 2560x1440 Cinema display is the absolute best gaming experience I have ever had--games never looked so sharp and the contrasts and color is so high quality it's just unmatched by anything I've seen in a smaller size/resolution monitor.

Of course one thing we have not really mentioned yet is price--you definitely can get 1080p monitors for a fraction of the cost of a high res IPS panel, you may even be able to get 3 1080p screens for around the same price, but personally I think the picture quality is worth it for the 2560x1440 IPS panel, and I would take 1 of those over 3 1080p monitors.
