My Ghetto GPU Cooler :D

Been using the arctic cooling S1 jobby for a while, the same that tinytom used on that studio rig he did, but thought it needed a little extra fanpower.

used a couple of spare fan clips from my megahalems and a xigmatek fan and it turned out pretty nice i reckon :)

heres some pictures from my crappy phone camera

fits perfectly!

Will help keep the fets and memory cool dude thats what the AC fan upgrade is for too. The heatsink actually does a really good job of cooling the gpu with minimal airflow but summer is coming so it will all help.

We are just very aware now its not silence you are after :p

well its inside the Fractal Design R2 case which is caked in bitumen to make it soundproof and it isnt very loud at all tbh :)

so i just took a trip to maplins and found a thing to hook 3 pin fans to those little ones on graphics cards, and it works!

except now catalyst control center keeps crashing continuously...

the heatsink only makes contact with the gpu core (if that makes sense) but it comes with a ton of stick on heatfin thingies

it makes it at least double slot, i'm not 100% sure. looking at it i think you could just about squeeze it in to 2 slots, but that's without the fan ive borked on. its probably about 3/4 slots now haha :p

i'll take another photo seeing as it is light now...

i think it could look pretty sick in a black colour

i've got to be careful what i say here cuz last time i mentioned the wrong finishing method TTL almost made me cry :'(

Doesn't make sense to me or I do not know what i'm looking at... the thing on top is connected to your GPU right? Where has the light come from?

I had one of those on my old X1900XT :) (as the original fan was stupidly noisy when ingame)

I didn't bother with a fan tho, have you clocked the card at all?

Also when I got mine the RAMSinks weren't that sticky and fell off so I had to use some thermal pads from another cooler to stick them on properly :(
