My Gaming Rig

Here is my new gaming rig, had to down size due to my 2 yr old finding my Fractal R3 setup to shiny to stay away from lol. :lol:



Have also taken the RAM+SSD+HD 7970 from my previous system and made my missus a Media Center with some grunt, fitted it into a Fractal Design Core 1000 to hide it behind the TV.

Case: Fractal Design Core 1000.
Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-F2A75M-D3H AMD A75.
APU: AMD (Trinity) A10-5800K.
GPU: HD 7970 Sapphire ref @ 1050/1500.
RAM: 16 gb Kingston Hyper X 1600 @ 668.
PSU: 730W be quiet! PURE POWER CM L8-CM.
SSD: Crucial M4 256.
HDD: 1TB Toshiba 7200.
COOLER: Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooler :lol:

Unfortunately atm trinity can only X-fire with a HD 6670 max atm, hopefully the next gen can X-fire with 7000 series cards.

Initially l made the media center for the missus minus the card, the A-10 5800K made sense as it was also going cheap at the time on Aria, however decided as the card was lying about l may as well fit it :lol:

And when l get the urge l will sneak in a itx build down the line and re-sue the card then.

Have taken out the 7970 and will run some 3DMark11 and 3DMark06, will also run a quick round of Wot at 720p to see what we get.

33fps Sniper mode.
30 fps Postmortem mode.
Easily playable at this setting.

GPU Core Clock @ 800.0 MHz.
GPU Memory Clock @ 667.0 MHz.
Max GPU Temp @ 60'c

WoT @ 1920x1080 Auto-Detect set Graphics Quality to Medium:
21-29 fps full zoom out.
19-30 fps Sniper mode.
19-20 fps Postmortem mode.
Unplayable at this setting.

Have found trying to run the AMP at Profile 1 while leaving the rest on auto caused random reboots as DDR voltage Auto @ 1.65v, manually setting to 1.55v seems to have cured the random restarts atm.

3DMark11 with DDR @ 800 : P1491.

GPU Core Clock @ 800.0 MHz.
GPU Memory Clock @ 800.0 MHz.
Max GPU Temp @ 59 'c

When l get the chance will tweak the CPU side to see what that yields, then stick it back to stock, well it is only a media center

MediaPC.

Played about with the system again this morning, l may need to read up more on Trinity as with all the bells and whistles set to default and the 7970(1050/1500) refitted the 3DMark11 Score is P6805 if l disable the GPU side of the APU and overclock to 4.2 and RAM @ 1600 l get P6707.

Re-run with default loaded and RAM @ 1600 3DMark11 @ P6840.

However here are a few pic's of the inside of the MediaPc, don't mind the cable management as you all know the core 1000 does not have any



However have managed to ensure the airflow from the front 120mm is pretty much clear to the GPU and CPU.





hopefully l have enough going into ensure possitive pressure inside the case, may have to fit a 120mm blanking plate to the side 120mm hole.



Once the side panel is up, no one need know
