My first mod (N0rth3rn L1ght5)

If I want to try some real modding I need some money first. But you're right about the aluminum, it's really really crappy

check out my Armor Redux case mod. This was an old aluminium thermaltake case. The aluminum is thin and very cheap. The link is in my sig block.

I like it!

not bad at all for first paint job.

I would advise you to use only one color for your next paintjob. painting , imo, is the most difficuly job in case modding. get handy with spray cans and soon u will be able to blend colors too.

"polishing a turd" is modding for people with low budget at their early modding steps.

take all the advice given , watch some utube videos ( bill owen has done many "how to" videos) , be patient , do not rush , let ur imagination free and keep it up!

I think cut out the middle of the front bezel, and make it so you can mount fans in it, car body filler could be handy when reshaping it, and its really not expensive.

This is the first time I've heard of car body filler so I googled it and it looks like something that could come in handy

Just need to find the Icelandic word for it and see if the hardware store can order it for me. I live in a town with 1000 people so supply's are very limited

I'm still discovering youtube and how much you can learn from there as I said I'm only 8 months in to this hobby...

I live in a small town as well. I used car body filler to remodel the tail id snapped of a skateboard. was easy to work with if your not to bothered about sanding things. Been out today messing with a mobo tray and my dremel lol
