My first 10K points wooooooooohooooooooooooo

The Noctua cooler is the NH-U12P as the NH-D14 wouldn't fit inthe case. Not sure what the Vcore is though, pretty sure the INtel 920 (isn't overclocked, but not 100%) as i am no longer at home...

I plugged one of the fans into the CPU header on the motherboard and the other into a fan connected, from the PSU, I have Blue & Black fan controls that came with the cooler, but i haven't used either..... plugged the fans straight into board/PSU connectors

OK, I will do when i get home tonight, are them temps somethingto worry about as i have left them going, and not home til gone 10pm tonight...

Also i'll check the vcore and stuff

If the temps are something to worry about i will have to go home and turn the cpu client off

It does! Just ask, Ray. (SnW)
For sure does, i only buy hardware that is for Folding :wiggle:

K that's not totally true i have enough GPU's to still play on

Temps are nothing to worry about if they are only in the 70's. Hell, even 80s are fine. When they hit 90C that's too high. With the heat we've had lately (and the layers of drywall dust in my case) I'm hitting up to 82C. These i7's can take the heat though.

I install my other gts 250 as it came yesterday, I installed it, and set up the GPU client for it by adding the -gpu 1 flag

But I had to remove the card as the other one that is already in the temp went above 100c...... I only have 2 PCI Express lanes for GFX cards on this board, so its not as though I could leave a gap between them, as there isn't another lane to put it in....

Any advice?

Is the PSU under the GPU's ?

i removed it and placed it next to my case Temp difference of 15c !

adding a side fan helps as well , cooling 3x GPU (in my case) ...

keep in mind this is all from my point of view , but i had my GTS250's running at 100c for weeks berfore i even noticed...

ones it goes over 105c it will thorttle down to 2d clocks resulting in a lower PPD and that we don't want !!

do with it you want mate !

PSU is in the top of the case, and I also have a fan balanced in the bottom of the case blowing onto the GFX card, I only have one in at present, and the temps are early 80's (which has been since starting to fold last weekend) even with the side fan blowing staight onto that gfx card them temps lower by about 2-4c.

But as soon as I add the second card and start folding on that too, the first card reaches 100+c

You may have to manually increase the Fan Speed with something like EVGA Precision. I run mine @ 100% with 3 9800GTX cards back to back. :) I also have 2 120mm fans mounted on the side of the fans blowing down the small gap.

What temps do they run at?

I have the CPU Client running now also, BOYYYYYYYYYY is that slow LOL

In this heat, about 60c. Usually between 45 and 55c whilst Folding. :)

What CPU Client and flags are you running?

how long does it take for stanford to update points,i completed 3 WU's on the gpu this morning and i have done 611 points, thats not correct i am sure
