My DIY showcase - Part design

This is my second attempt for a case build. The first one was the Wood Box….didn’t turn out too bad (looks ugly as hell though).

Anyhow, this second build will be made out of steel and Acrylic! Uhaaa!! Fully watercooled I want to make this something that is not only nice to look at but also livable with (noise MUST be contained! I’m getting tired of my tornado!)

Build from the bottom up, it will have two “sides”. Dimensions: 38cm x37cm

Left side: motherboard mounted vertically inside an acrylic casing. It will house two graphic cards (still to decide which) . This side is not too had to design and build. The motherboard will be held on a reinforced steel frame (reinforcements hidden). It will be cooled by two fans (one on the floor (pull) and one on the roof (pull)).

Right side: Two 240mm radiators, power supply, pump, reservoir and HDD (and/or SSD). Build on three floors it will have on the top two a radiator each. On the bottom floor the rest of the components. The dimensions have to be contained to “as small as possible”.

Red: Fans (rad fans = 120mm, side fans 80mm)

Purple: Radiator

Yellow: Pump, HDD, Res (depending on situations and or dimensions)

The direction of the air flow

Red: Fans (rad fans = 120mm, side fans 120mm)

Purple: Radiator

Yellow: Pump, HDD, Res (depending on situations and or dimensions

Which one of the two should I use? The first one or the second one?

80mm fans cause MUCH more sound, thus I should use the second one, but the problem starts here…The floor in the middle would cause a loss in flow. Eliminating the floor would cause heat from rad 1 to be sent into rad 2.

If anyone has a solution or any ideas on what I should do please tell me ^_^
