My damn little finger >:(

That sucks about your finger. I have always been in a similar situation. A few years back I was working with sheet metal and trying to force another piece around a bend when it gave way, sending my left hand forward into the other piece of sheet metal on the edge, splitting my left index finger down the center to the first joint. It wasn't as painful as it sounds because I severed the nerves, losing all feeling in about 15% of my left hand on the index finger side. Since then I have learned to type without using my left Index finger at all. The biggest challenge was learning to use WASD movement in games without using that finger. For a while I tried but kept failing in arenas on WoW half the time because I couldn't tell if I was hitting hot keys or not and looking at the keyboard every now and then wasn't working out so well.

Your reply left me a little speechless. Makes me feel guilty that I was complaining about my little finger. Good to see you've gotten used to it. I can imagine it would be extremely hard to do everyday-things without feeling your index finger. I wish you the best of luck with it for the coming years man!

Ah, think nothing of it man. Not as difficult to live with as things other people go through. Kinda cool in some cases. Freaks people out when I say, "watch this!" then hold in under a flame for a few secs longer than you would want to. Never long enough to cause damage, mind you.

Sorry to hear you've broken a finger.

It reminded me of an accident I had at school. I was running through the playground really fast and ran into some small kid sending him flying. When I looked down at my hand my little finger had snapped and was sticking out of my hand sideways lol.

Not only had I broken it but I also dislocated it. When I got to the hospital they put a pen in between it and the finger next to it and snapped it back into the socket. I thought I was going to pass out

Always looked where I was going after that lmao. I had to wear a splint for a couple of weeks.

Wow, that must've hurt so bad!
When I broke mine, I hardly felt it. It did hurt, but more like I bruised it.
I can imagine how much it hurted when they put back your finger in position!
Also, how was the kid you send flying :p ? Did he break anything?

No mate he was good thankfully I just knocked the wind out of the poor little sod

That was a long day haha. I had no idea what they were going to do about it so I just sat there chitting my pants.

In the end they put a pen between my fingers and told me to look away.. One almighty cracking sound later and it was back where it belonged

i'm so glad that i never actually broke any of my bones. i always get cuts. stepping into glass shards, sharpening a knife too much because, hey, daddy did it, so can i, and then accidentally cutting my finger down to the bone, all that good stuff.

I've broken loads of bones tbh.

When I was 7 I ran in front of a car and broke both legs (left themur right shin) broke my arm and fractured my skull. 6 months in hospital lol.

Since then I've broken an ankle and both wrists, as well as several fingers and bones in my hands.

I used to ride BMX and racked up countless injuries doing that.
