They had major power supply problems, popping the capacitors. It cost me about $12.00 US to buy higher spec capacitors to fix it and it has been fine for almost 3 years since that repair. I'd gotten it in 2005...maybe it was 2006.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures from you when you get the new rig.
I generally didn't buy Corsair stuff in the past, but now I must admit I do buy allot more Corsair stuff and the generosity they have shown will, mean I buy more so they are able to do this for people.

Now Ive seen this he'll be getting a motherboard and some ram too as a little TTL bonus to try and help get his rig flowing a little better

So my blagging powers are on form today. Corsair are going to send you a 200R and a new CX500 PSU
Tom... is the MAN... wow that's super nice of you to even TRY to do that! Can't say I would have done anything much differently myself, that rig NEEDS to be changed up. Corsair is incredibly generous for doing that as well. See this is why I'm a member of this forum: Solid community with a solid team leading and managing it all. Enjoy your new system FredEx, post some pics when you get the new rig in, would love to see it!

All the bits are coming here. Im going to build it then Corsair are going to pay to have it shipped to you!!!!
It will be a complete system dude, all youll need to do is put your own programs etc on it!
You have a big heart Tom and to act on it is an all to rare thing these days so.... much respect to you for doing this.
Congrats FredEx on being the recipient of one of the nicest gestures I've heard of in a while. It sounds like you needed a good turn of luck.

Great publicity stunts like this combined with great products that always come in black and its win win.
Other companies should take a leaf out of their book.
