AMD say there max voltage on air is 1.5v not sure on water, you could try lowering the bus to get almost exactley 3.9Ghz then up the multi, whats ur temps/cooling.

Tell ya what you gave me a shock when I read your first post- asking if going past 5.75v on the core was sensible :D

Are those idle temps?

Given he's cooling with air I assume so, otherwise we could have a cooling genius on our hands :D

temps are 27c-33c

when you say 1.5v does it matter if its 1.545 1.555 1.575 1.585 1.595? just as long as it doesnt hit 1.600?

as in 1.5v exactley, ide only push to 1.525 if it was worth it but its warrenty voiding areas mate

Overclocking itself voids the warrenty. I wouldn't worry because how in the world would they be able to prove if it was overclocked or not? ;)

ahh fair one, well ime shure the main manufacturing tech team could see if it had been OC'd or not,but itherway best not go over 1.5v on air

well i couldnt wait for the hoses so i went ahead and up the volts in bios to 1.6(actual 1.584)

im in the 4.0ghz range but sooner have liquid cooling to keep it here

trust me if you set it to 1.6v in the BIOS thats the true reading, altho a good thing to check in the BIOS is hardware monitor that will give you a good reading and be accurate or even use coretemp.

will do next time im in bios :)

hey i started out with a M3N-HT Deluxe mobo.to bad i had to break off the NB trying to install a waterblock :(

miss that board

:)

cool.

yer man its a good motherboard dont think ime hitting the limit of the board OC wise (not tried RAM yet) but for a full tri-sli board its awsome paid £120 for ir about 6months ago, waiting for AMD to bring out new nforce boards before i upgrade
