You swapped the GTX 470 for what?

For the two 8800GTs.

8800GT SLI, how come you ditched the 470 for them?

Even if they're better performing in SLI (which I don't know if they are or not) you've lost DX11.

My 470 fried when OCing =/ So I went for the sli cuz it costed me like 30€, and it's near the 470... but you can expect a 580 soon!

BTW: what are your scores for Tropics Demo by Unigine? (1920x1080 open and start benching) with a 470. I want to know so we'll know which config is better

Updates

Some things still need to be added or replaced... Like the back fan and the top fan on the 360 rad, and I need 1 more of those 90° fittings so the tube from the CPU block will go nicely across the ram and go to the 240 rad.

This 8800 is the only card to survive my overclocks =) its a beastie! Now im aiming for 900!

For the temps... well... concidering its 35°C here theyre doin preety good! GPU idle ~42°C load ~51°C CPU idle ~41°C load ~75°C with fans on very low (600-800RPM) Its SILENT! i cant hear a thing in my room now... I have the pump on 5v so its surprisingly more silent than the PSU... the psu is making all the noise now!

And im getting a migraine now so im gonna stop and go to sleep!

Finally a new GPU! An MSI GTX570 TFIII PE/OC!

I know, the fan looks silly but in 1h I didn't find any other (better) way to cool the mossfets and power delivery... they got really hot in 15s running kombustor.

But I'm really happy with this 1.

I messed with the bios in the last 3h and found the only way to kick the volts up! F*CK YEA! Ofc I used Nibitor but it was tricky. Somehow I got the hang of it again like with the 8800GT I had... If I hadn't had that brick to learn on and mess about I wouldn't know that much bout bios editing and be ready to mess with this bios after having the card for 10h. I can now up the volts to a wopping 1.262V ( u can see the stock being at 1.112, add another 0.150 to that) The flashing was flawless =]

U can count on 1000MHz on the core soon!

Well that was quick... I got 1000/2000/2475 out of it at 1.206V (I didn't try lower volts yet, no time) and I'm AMAZED at the ram overclock. I added +50mv to it and raised the bar from 2000MHz to 2475MHz stable in Unigine Tropics (my fav benchmark) I tried 2500 but artifacts began appearing! =/ Gained ~10fps!¨CRAZY!!!! I will continue 2morrow with the core overclocking... I think it has a lil more HZ in it! Hope I don't burn it!
