MW3 or is it

MW3 is in the works. Not much is known about it yet except for some leaked info from an insider, stating that the story line would be a prequel to the last one. (not sure how far back it will go) And that Ghost will return as a main character.

This was published recently in the official UK Playstation magazine and was said to come from an insider.

I have not seen the actual article with my own eyes, just getting it from other credible gaming news sites.

As for the video, From what I have seen it is not in any way connected with the game or any of its partners, just a very cool fan video.

Well whatever they are releasing it has to be very good to hold off Battlefield 3, which, if they can deliver, could be an epic game.

its coming, of course it is and id bet it will be around november again like every other cod release for the past 4 or 5 years just in time for xmas.

Mw3 is gonna be as unbalanced and horrid a game as mw2... idk how i stood playing that game for more then a month

MW3 single player is currently being developed by what remains of Infinity Ward, while Sledgehammer Games works on the the multiplayer. Sledgehammer Studios was apparently going to make CoD in Space.

lets not forget about this

It is very expensive to develop an entire new game. It is far cheaper and cost effective to keep making sequels as long as they sell. With a new MW, you already have the name recognition which cuts down heavily on your required advertising costs to get your game known. Its also much less work and faster to make a sequel than a new game. Game development is a business, they will keep making them as long as a decent profit is to be made.

As far as how much better the next game will be as far as working out the bugs.. I do not know. I remember playing MW1 and having team mates names not comming up when you are close to an object, here we are a few games in the future and it has not changed. "Oh! My Bad! sorry, your name did not come up" is as common a term as "spy plane above" these days.
