MSI R9 390X Gaming 8G Review

It still doesn't look right. It is getting half the average FPS @ 4K of both an GTX980Ti OC and a GTX980 OC. Other review sites results don't come anywhere close to that sort of difference.

That being said I found the GTA V benchmark results to be way higher than actual in-game average FPS.

Tom was this test the games in-built benchmark or a live play through of a fixed section? Also was it re-run at least three times and an average taken? It looks like a bad run.

Well, I not own those cards. So, I dont know man. Haha...

Plus is benchmark more important than playing the game itself? Relax and chill man~

Sad thing is, this costs pretty close to the 980 and double the price of a 290x in AU atm.

Are you really shocked AU got screwed over in tech prices? You should be used to it by now.. Honestly don't know how you AU's do it. You all deserve medals for dedication. Just think.. if AMD built a actual store retailer that also worked online specifically in the AU and could get all their products and tech their without using the middle man, it would be overall cheaper and a huge monopoly for them. Imagine how many MSI 390x's(or any for that matter) they would sell^_^

One can only wish.

Not really interested in this gen of cards anyways, though the pricing in AU for the next gen isnt going to improve either :(

Import with the current AUD rate? Not to mention those horrible freight prices, slow customs clearance, inconvenient when RMA is needed etc etc

You get my point

Not saying AU isnt without its merits.

Shhh dude... I didn't mean that kind of import lmao

Why do these results all look extremely questionable? Were the nvidia scores done at the same time or pulled from previous reviews? Why were 960's opted on reviews instead of 970s? GTA V we get two 290x cards, a 980 ti stock and OC and a 980, why not a 970?

Far Cry 4 for example, 1440p is 40.5 here and on the techpowerup review it pulled in 53.4 nearly a 13fps difference and the TPU review was using a stock 980 not a matrix card.

It just.. doesn't make sense.

Makes clear sense..

This is Tom's results. He posts what he gets. Also the Matrix is a real crap of a card.. the Lightning is far superior.
