Price?

Lots of praise about performance vs price. However, the usual spot where the price is normally mentioned (top of page) is empty.

Tom did you try raising the memory speed at all to see if there was any extra headroom ?

Having said that @stock it is very respectable compared to the old 4gb 290Xs.

yeah, the stock memory on these things are great compared to the old R9 290X

+250MHz on each memory chip is great to see

Hmm. Bit pricey for what is essentially a rebrand of a 2 year old card with a bit more VRam and an overclock. Got to keep those profit margins up I guess.

Wait a second, does that memory speed increase do that much? I meant 390X still have same chips as 290X, right? And yet it beat some GTX980.

If a small memory increase can do this much, I wonder how HBM will do.

That is a great point. I'm looking forward to seeing how the R9 Fury X does.

How loud was the card? Plus would be interested in OC headroom. As I'm looking to get a card around the £300 mark, I'm torn between a 970 or maybe this (maybe Fury if it's performance is good enough).

Not sure, some of the numbers look a bit iffy. Asus GTX980 Matrix beating a GTX980Ti in GTA V for example, very odd.

At this point I'd still be buying a 980, the overclocking on those cards open up the flood gates. The TF5 cooler is more impressive than the card at this point.

Tom does mention the that it was virtually silent in the video
