mob cooler looks identical as corsairs formula 4 just different color copy cats?

formats of mobo's rarely change much but this one while looking similar to the crosshair Formula 4 EXTREME is vastly different. First of all is the AM3+ socket and newest 990 chipset.

Product Name: MSI's Upcoming Products

Big Bang Conqueror; Ready for AM3+ and Bulldozer

There really has been quite a bit of talk about AMD’s upcoming AM3+ CPUs which include products sporting their new Bulldozer architecture and MSI has a board ready. It’s called the Big Bang Conqueror and is meant to go head to head against the likes of ASUS’ Crosshair ROG series in terms of overclocking capability and features.

Since AM3+ boards are backwards compatible with AM3 CPUs, MSI is looking to launch the Conqueror far in advance of Bulldozer’s official availability. It has all of the features one would expect of an enthusiast-grade board including an onboard POST LED, easily accessible Power and Reset buttons and multi GPU support through the use of a Lucid Hydra chip.

Pricing isn’t set but we don’t expect the Conqueror to retail for more than $275 USD.

I am now considering holding off on my mobo upgrade and waiting til this comes out. As its future proof for me as I an still at phenom 11 X4 925 processor lol.

They do look EXTREMELY similar to the crosshair iv formula heatsinks. Literally the only differences I can see are the colour (like you said); a slightly different design and the heat pipe doesnt extend to the SB heatsink like on the formula board.

Will this support SLI? The only thing keeping me from going AMD is the lack of SLI support on AMD boards. Its strange because I recall 3-4 years ago, my A8N SLI... supported SLI.

Well my current AMD motherboard supports SLI, so it wouldn't too much of a strech for this board to support SLI if MSI decides to chuck in a Lucid chip or a nVidia chipset. The best thing about this motherboard is that people say it's gonna be released ahead of Bulldozer, and it's backward compatible with AM3 =D.

Loving the flatness of this mobo.

Thinking... decent cpu, something like a NorthQ cooler, 4g, fastest low-profile gfxcard (or a full size one on a right-angle pcie bracket), small psu, slim optical...

Could end up with a really powerful pc, in a really small case.

If they make a micro atx version, even better.
