MSI GTX 1050 Ti Gaming X Preview

Looks the same as every other MSI gaming card, complete with stupid dragon. I wish they would at least change up the colours, or, offer some sort of snap in parts that allow you to change the colour. It's getting really boring now.

If this is as good as the 750 Ti Gaming, sign me up - this thing is one of the best I've ever owned. In a case with s***e airflow, and I've never heard the fans in the two years I've had it.

I like the brand continuation but I would go as far as to say that they NEED something other than just this.

Id jizz in my pants for a Titanium GPU.........

Am I the only one who wish the card makers would make a simple cooling solution that did what it's supposed to without RGB or "futuristic" cool edges and crap? :o

All they need to do is take a note from those "snap together" models we had as kids in the 70s and 80s. Hell, they probably still make them now. If the red parts could snap in and out and they came with a couple of extra colours that would be a start. Even if they just sent it plain black and then sold the colours for £20 or so.

And that dragon really does need to go. We're not all five years old and not all of us like Harry Potter or Lord Of The Rings. I'm proud to say I've never seen a movie from either :D

Harry potter I can understand but Lord of the Rings you obviously have poor taste in movies, and santa has removed you from his list until you have seen all of the extended versions

back on topic
I'd agree for the red parts being replaceable, but the dragon I like and it's part of you look and know thats an MSI card

I just find it really hard to do "make believe" as it were. Knowing me I will watch them 20 years after every one else, then go on and on about it haha.

It's going to be this one or the Zotac OC version, for me - former has better cooling and looks, latter has the higher factory overclock and is smaller (and doesn't have a power connector).

Not quite Titanium but look at the 1070 Quicksilver. They also have the Armor range so they are diversifying a bit and catering for other than Red+Black builds.

For everyone complaining about MSI - I've only ever had one of their products (a 570GTX TwinFrozr III) and it was great. Even with the brownish PCB. The cards in the 600 series and up have all improved a heap aesthetically from there. I really don't think they deserve all the stick they cop around the forums.

I will obviously concede 'Godlike' is a rubbish name. Nothing more needs to be said on that one.
