Mpower vs other Motherboards while manually oc'ing

Matrix is pretty much Asus' Lightning. They're not quite as good but I certainly wouldn't pay $100 extra for a Lightning.
As for boards? if you're dropping to the 55 you may as well get the G45. I'm not aware of any differences. There must be some but the G45 is more than enough.

I have seen around in pretty much every store available to me now and the Matrix isn't in for another 30+ days. So would a Sapphire 7970 Ghz perform equally as the matrix if the clock is the same? Or is it some other things to the matrix that makes it perform better in benchmarks?
