Mouse pad question

Hey guys.

I have wanted to get a new mouse pad for quite a while, and i think i've narrowed down my choice to two different pads:

The Func Surface 1030L
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=79352&vpn=FUNC-SF-1030-L&manufacture=Func Industries

Or the Steelseries Qck
http://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Q...id=1366854248&sr=8-1&keywords=steelseries+qck

The func is a bit bigger, but that doesn't matter. I just wanted to get your guys opinion on what is going to be better overall. I mostly play FPS's.

Also, do you guys have any other suggestions? I would prefer it to be in those pads price range.

Thanks!

It depends on the mouse you are using. Does your mouse prefer hard or soft surfaces? My Naos 5000 gets MUCH better response on semi reflective hard surfaces. Your mouse will differ. Your better off going to a computer store in your area that sells these, buying one, then testing it.

not using a mousepad is like raping your mouse lol
i got a corepad xxxl, yea it's freaking big. 90x45cm, got my keyboard on it as well. there is even a bigger version, the corepad xxxxl, 120x60cm :D i like to have everything on the same level.

I use a Steelseries QCK at the moment.

The first QCK I had (the black plain one) came rolled up and I couldn't get the bumps and creases out of it. I ended up giving up and put my QPad back.

The second QCK (the one I have now) came completely flat and I haven't had any problems with it.
The one I have now is a Diablo3 one. I'm not sure if the packaging is better because it is a different style or if they just changed the packaging on newer versions but I wouldn't buy a black one again just in case it comes rolled up :(

Here's the rolled one:

The only picture of the new one I have:

I've currently got a QCK Mini since I play at a very high sens and don't need anything bigger. Wonderful mouse mat, never fails to track and the creases in mine went away after about 2/3 days. Also a fair bit of... Don't know the word.. ''Resistance''(?) in the material - gives you some feedback as you pop heads ;)

All that being said, I am currently looking into getting a Steelseries 4HD, since I prefer hard mats and a minimal ''resistance'' again due to my very high sens habbits.

To summarize, stick to Steelseries, but experiment with what feels right within their range.

i have a func 1030 xl and it's fantastic! hands down best pad ive ever used. it's also reversible with a smooth and textured side

edit: i had a qck before and much prefer the 1030

I have a g500, and i just have a pretty generic kinda think cloth mousepad currently. Not quality fabric or anything. I feel that i would adjust well to whatever i get, hard or soft. I usually play on low to med sens. Thats why i want a bigger pad.

Thanks, but what mouse do u have? I have a logitech g500. Should the surface make a huge difference? The func is a hard plastic pad right?

I had the XFX warpad, it is an awesome pad. Unfortunately my Naos 5000 has terrible response on it. My desk is actually the exact same surface the Naos pad uses so I just use my desk.

currently using the func ms-3 but it uses the same sensor as the g500 from memory so shouldn't be an issue. yes its hard plastic

k thanks so much. Looks like I might've made up my mind. From what I've heard the func is a good choice so I think I'm gonna go with that.

Thanks alot guys.
