Mouse cursor disappeared

Hi,

my landlords got a new windows 8 laptop recently and their mouse cursor has disappeared. When I plug my mouse in the cursor appears.

Any suggestions for a fix?

the thing is my landlords don't have a mouse and want to use the laptop as a laptop and not need to have it somewhere where they can use a mouse

i've googled it and tried the fixes i've found there but to no avail. From what i've read its a windows 8 thing (glad I stuck with 7)

Have you tried setting a different cursor? Or changing to one and then back to the default?

In control panel in the top right, select either Large or Small Icons. Then go click 'Mouse'. Go to the 'Pointers' tab and first try clicking 'Use Default' and then 'Apply'. If that doesn't work try using the 'Browse' option and pick a different one.
