Hello!
I am looking for opinions and expert advice on where to mount a H110 CPU Cooler in a Corsair 730T Case.
I have the H110 with 4 Noctua NF-A14 PWM fans in a push/pull configuration. The cooler is currently mounted in the top of the case as an exhaust unit. Although it looks nice there I can't help but be a little unhappy that all of the hot air from my GPU is going to rise and be pulled through the CPU cooler.
My alternative mounting position is on the front of the case. Now the front of the case has a metal mounting frame but it is approx 2-3mm deep and I was wondering if it would be ok to have such a gap between a set of the fans and radiator, or do the fans need to be in directly attached to the radiator?
With the H110 being mounted in the front not only will it be drawing cold air from the front of the case but those for Noctua fans will provide good airflow into my case as I have read that the air coming out of the radiator will not be much hotter. Is this correct?
I'd like peoples opinions and suggestions on the best way forward as this is my first AIO cooler and I'm not experienced with them!!!
Thanks
Paul
