Looking to start building a PC and just wondering what everyone's opinion on what motherboard to pick for money and spec.

I mostly play games like Call of Duty or Runescape and then will often use for general use or work (video or photo editing). Don't want to spend loads on a motherboard but looking towards ASUS ROG or TUF.

But open to suggestions.

What processor are you planning to use? I can't recommend a motherboard without knowing what platform you plan on using.

Sorry, should have added that. I was looking at either the AMD Ryzen 7 3700x or the AMD Ryzen 5 3600x. Again open to offers if there would be a better-suited CPU.

MSI Tomahawk boards are very good choice. B450 if you don't pan an upgrade in the next year, B550 if you do.

I’d say B550 is a better overall choice, has ”future proof” features, such as PCI 4.0 and will both support next gen Ryzen and last gen as well.

B450 doesn’t have these features, so I’d personally go with B550 to get a bit more for my money IF I would ever decide later down the line to utlize these things.
