Motherboard Dilema :(

RIght going to start using the mach 2 again, ive got a x1900xt coming tomorrow and early next week a Opteron 175 I had a dfi nf4 sli-dr expert but just sold that (unused) and then ordered a asus a8n32 sli board today but have cancelled that from reading peoples posts etc saying it didnt give out enough juice un modded. I ahve a ultra-d which i modded to sli which I love but the damn cpu position is just a pain for the machs and need something with a cpu socket nearer the top of the board, I might get another epox 9npaj sli as it was almost as good as my ultra-d but wondered what anyone else thought? asus a8n premium?

What kinda RAM you using? The Epox wont give ya enough juice for CH-5 etc goodness, and the LDT voltage cant be changed. The Asus will prob have the same drawbacks.

What about the MSI? Mav is having a play with one at the mo, from what hes seen so far, seems to be on the right lines.

Hope your Opto doesnt have a coldbug, tho the extra heat output should help there

Using Crucial Ballistix so doesnt need more than 3V the board will give 3.2, which MSI is it that Mav's using again?

It is!!

I like the board loads of options but release BIOS is a bit naff - (wont recognise dual channel and runs at DDR33 instead of 400).

I am keeping it tho, coz I have a nice warm feeling this is a great board waiting a suitable BIOS.

For now I am back with the EXPERT.
