A person who says he are working for amd claims that most of the phenom II series chips should be able to handle as mutch as 1.7V 24/7 working 2 years +. He also states that some chip actually will burn out VERY fast at that voltage, but just some. So alittle lottery. He also says that ALL chips handle up to 1.55v and should run for 4years +.
Can this be true? Or is it just bloody boasting? I accedentely run mine on 1.75v for a couple of hours, didnt do anything hard work, but still it ran on 1.75 for some hours. It would be interesting to see a test where someone test processors max voltage 24/7. Anyone who dare to try?hehe. Anyway, I think it is interesting, its very hard to find hard info about the subject rather than just claims that 1.55 is max for 24/7. they cant say how mutch faster the chip burns out it seems, they just "know it".. Im a fan of hard facts, hehe
anyone who can enlighten the subject for me?
EDIT: I want tests result, not unsupported claims;-)
