More delays with windows Vista

You also need 2g of memory for it to run properly and even then its slow.

I wont be rushing out and buying it thats for sure:(

Sounds about right, i remember win98 when it first came out, everyone thought it was good but i found out a problem with this running on laptops and reported it to Microsoft and got a free windows 2000 disc,

But they will get there in the end and with loads of update fixes.

This kinda thing always happens when they release an O/S, it's just the way it is 8)

In a couple of years we'll all be there with Vista as the norm, perhaps looking back at the days of XP...

Tis true, I hear that 4GB will be the gamers choice too and that there will be 2x2GB stix ready for the launch :O

I always wait for the first service pack to be released, it normally makes all the necessary changes to make it viable (less buggy, more compatable and optimised).

I waited at least 1 year, more like one and a half before i switched to XP from 98 and i will be in no more of a hurry to change to Vista.

I think the big change for Vista is not the step up in RAM consumption as this happened with XP, it is the setup in graphics usage, many people are going to want this Aeroglass thing but arent going to have the hardware to run it well enough.

The longer they delay Vista, the longer i get to use XP so i get more for the money i paid for it, so the happier i am :)
