Hey, i just bought a 1080i monitor for my PC.

1280 x 720 works great, but the full 1920 x 1080 doesn't. It looks messed up and the screen flashes - very unusable....

Anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

Thank you.

Additional info:

It's a Logik television, and its 32". I know my graphics card can do this resolution because it works on the larger TV in the living room.

more info please what connection are you using between ur vc and monitor plus what vc do you have

then possibly a bad hdmi cable try a different one or try DVI

I am not doubting the card just wanted to know what we are dealing with.

I would have thought a HDMI lead would work better than DVI? But OK i will try, thank you for the reply

I think it's because your monitor only supports 1080i and i think the card is trying to go to 1080p by default, your gonna have to set it to 1080i manually.

Doesnt have DVI :/. I forgot to mention it is a TV.

CCC Has a 1080i option so that cant be the problem. Strange that it works on other TV's but not this one.

just google the brand and 32 inch since I dont know the exact model I can only say of the 3-4 I saw they were all 720p res so IMHO you wont get 1920 x 1080 outta it the res I saw was like 1366 x 768

Just looked it up, you're right, 1366x768. CCC reckons it can do 1080i hah.

Thanks

Do you think it will be better at 720p or 1366x768?
